With this project, we aim to upload years of shiurim and Sichos by our Rebbe, Rav Menachem Mendel Blachman שליטא, the majority of which have been and continue to be given at our alma mater and spiritual home, Yeshivat Kerem b’Yavne- we thank the Yeshiva and its Rashei Yeshiva for continuing to provide a home for Rav Blachman’s Torah.
The Shiurim are uploaded, unedited, from the original recording, in Rebbe’s signature sharp, dynamic, and humorous style, and are meant primarily for those interested in his Torah as is, in particularly, his Talmidim.
The Listener is forewarned that the open discussions and frank statements, as well as some of the wit, in some of these shiurim on certain controversial and sensitive topics might offend those not used to it- This site is not a “safe space” and is open only to those who enjoy intellectual stimulation, open search for אמיתו של תורה (the truth of Torah) , and are happy to hear views they might not agree with and debate in an intellectually honest way with them.
Please also remember that similar to that of the Maharal (See Netiv haTorah 15) the emphasis in Rav Blachman’s shiurim is not the content, or even one unique approach of his, but a methodology of creative, original, and analytical interpretation which empowers his Talmidim to produce their own original approaches to the topic at hand based on their own detailed analysis of the classical sources, in particular the Gemara and Rishonim.
As such, no approach suggested is cast in stone, neither are final specific halachik rulings given- the talmid is always encouraged to question anything said based on logic and ideally, legitimate evidence from the classical sources.
